A bad person

Picked a daffodil in the park and took it home.

She does not regret it.

Like any normal person

In my purse:

Correct: A maxi pad with a plant in it.

My friend gave me the cutting, and that seemed like a good place for it. I carried it around for like two weeks, then I finally planted it!

The best thing you have ever seen

THAT'S RIGHT!

I planted something in the Santa boot, and it is awesome.

Genevieve gave me these plants, and this is the perfect spot for them.

The best thing ever

This guy.

I took many pictures. Until some people were like, Umm, excuse me, could we get some garlic please??

New career

Cat portrait photographer.

This is Annie:

Bold. Alert.

And a different mood:

Over-the-shoulder shot!

My friend was cat-sitting her.

Found

In a pot by the side of the road in a rain storm:

The internet tells me it is portulaca. I hope I can take care of it.

(I think my geranium has some kind of blight; it's so upsetting!)

Cactus update!

"Because you've been wondering."TM

Remember this little guy, grown from a sproat stolen from an estate sale?

So big now!

This one had a pink cactus grafted onto that white bit on the top of the main stem (remember, from Christmas?), which I impetuously pulled off a couple months ago:

That whole side sproat has grown since then, complete with roots!

And these two are bits of that giant cactus I saw on the street that time:

Now both pieces are growing new leaves on top!

My mom made that little pot for me, using a cabbage leaf as a mold. So perfect. Thanks Mom!

Dr. Jones

He needs a house! Let's make one for him.

He likes it.

My mom's new cat

His name is Herman.

He is a mellow fellow. Also: handsome.

My mom lured him into the house with a can of tuna on a string (he was a stray with a hurt leg) and now he lives with her.

Apparently

I was wrong.

Snow is good for a cactus! Because look at this guy now!

Bush

Check out the berries on it:

They have such a strange shape! Like little jester hats.

Sproats!

New life is growing up from these little guys's roots (I picked the two leaves from a sidewalk plant in Los Angeles and the mini-cactus bud, now living at the office, from a colony on a sand dune on Long Island).

They just sat and sat and then one day—sproats!!

Oh

You got your tuxedo on!

On my way home tonight

A kitty in a window.

Aww, crossed paws!

I wanted to say hi, but . . .

FACT!!

Help!

There's a fungus among us.

I've been trying to nurse it but nothing is working and I don't really know what to do.

Geraniums

Soooo pretty and they smell so good!

If only the same could be said for me.
