Found!

A new and hauntingly different novel about a morphine-racked prostitute!

Hm.

Pretty sure this is terrible, but I'll let you know.

  1. Think of it like one of those Kilgore Trout novels that Eliot Rosewater collected in "God Bless you Mr. Rosewater."(Kurt Vonnegut) Giving "Tristessa" a lurid cover and sexy one line blurb, was the publishers way of trying to get someone to buy it.

I'd love to read it, my dads family was from Lowell. robintrout@yahoo.com

  2. yes, one needs to think of it as a cultural artifact, not literature!
