Yes, they come from trees. Dan (From Digital Media) & his Girlfriend brought me some when they went to Croatia or so. Let me ask him

Yeah, I forget what they're called (Seedus Chewbacus?) but Ellie included some in her MFA thesis installation. She put two next to each other: one that was endangered from the Danube River Delta and another that was invasive from the Hudson.
