My friend Claudine made me this apron.

It has a bib and an extra long sash for wrapping around twice. I love it! (I wore it tonight to make lamb curry.)

My sister and I visited my grandmother last weekend, and she gave us some things to take home. I got these two sheepskin barstool covers (and a sewing machine)!

I am thinking they will be two round cushions, each half sheepskin, half crochet.

I didn't read this when it came out, but I am curious about it. It didn't get the greatest reviews, but Mary Gaitskill's pretty interesting anyway.



I gave my dad The World Is What It Is, Patrick French's new biography of V. S. Naipaul, for Hannukah, and since then I have been thinking of rereading some of his novels. This is a good one.
