Found on the rug while vacuuming.
For some reason, I initially assumed it was a french fry?!

Friday evening by myself
Peaceful.
I made a quesadilla and ate it on the sofa while I looked at my new book.
Now I'm making blog posts!

Like any normal person
In my purse:
Correct: A maxi pad with a plant in it.
My friend gave me the cutting, and that seemed like a good place for it. I carried it around for like two weeks, then I finally planted it!

Cactus update!
"Because you've been wondering."TM
Remember this little guy, grown from a sproat stolen from an estate sale?
So big now!
This one had a pink cactus grafted onto that white bit on the top of the main stem (remember, from Christmas?), which I impetuously pulled off a couple months ago:

That whole side sproat has grown since then, complete with roots!
And these two are bits of that giant cactus I saw on the street that time:
Now both pieces are growing new leaves on top!
My mom made that little pot for me, using a cabbage leaf as a mold. So perfect. Thanks Mom!

Greg's camera
My camera:
Not so nice.
I stayed late at work, and I was so hungry when I got home that those two fried eggs with Sriracha made my night.

Rockaway Beach!
It's quite an interesting scene.
You can get really good food (and coffee!).
There are items to find.
Waves galore:
The incredible ocean.
I patted this walrus.
And, the best thing: when you're done, if you stand in line a lady will hose off your legs for you.

My mom's new cat
His name is Herman.

He is a mellow fellow. Also: handsome.
My mom lured him into the house with a can of tuna on a string (he was a stray with a hurt leg) and now he lives with her.

Did I mention
That we went deep-sea fishing? My plan was to catch a delicious bass.
This guy followed the boat the whole way:

Smart.
The moon rose.

There's the city:

Poles up while the boat's moving.

Rob caught a flounder! So did Greg.
I lost my lunch over the side a couple times . . .
