On Saturday, after VOLTA, we went to an opening by my facebook friend Rachel Beach in Williamsburg at Like the Spice. It was so rad!

Then we went to VOLTA (it was pretty terrible).

I don't know about you...

...but when I walk by a paint can on the sidewalk I like to give it a kick. The result: we got a lot of paint in our closet.

I dug it all out to find a color to paint a new cabinet (I accidentally painted it bubblegum pink)

My friend Claire rescues kitties in need. They live with her and her own five cats (and her husband, Ross) in their beautiful house in Bed-Stuy until she can find homes for them.

She picked up Lulu wandering in the street. And now, here is Lulu with her new friend, Sister Mary of the Sacred Heart, at her new home—Corpus Christi Monastery in Hunters Point, in the Bronx!

Looks beautiful. Tastes beautiful.

What to eat when you get home at 10:30

Take an egg. Scramble it.

Slice some cheese and put the slices on a flour tortilla with the scrambled egg. Salt and pepper. Roll it up and toast your little burrito.

Stick it in a bowl with some leftover greens, plus a few pieces of sausage left over from your shweethart's dinner.

Add avocado.



Pour a nice glass of water (preferably in a Mason jar). Treat yourself to some lemon, cuz if you don't—who will?



There you go! Now take your bowl into the living room and flop on the couch and watch Planet Earth.

Later: chocolate ice cream.

Bike friends

Want to hear something weird? The other day Greg went out to unlock his bike in the morning and he found a beautiful red rose in his basket.



And all his special bike decorations had been removed!

Huh!
