A tree grows in Brooklyn
People in this city have a weird relationship with garbage cans. It reminds me of an anti-littering ad aimed at fishermen I used to see on TV when I was a kid:
[Man in dory throws an oil can into the water]
Kid: Where does the garbage go, Dad?
Man: Oh. Away . . .
[Oil can bobs in water]

ReplyDeleteyes! who WAS that?
ReplyDeleteThat kid's name is Anthony Black.....he's from Halifax. He's still around, doing his acting/directing thing with 2b Theatre Company.
ReplyDeleteHe also enjoys sunsets and long walks on the beach.
Huh, interesting. I have trying to find that commercial - it's not on YouTube alas.
ReplyDeleteI think that commercial dates us.. I'm sure I remember that one..
