It ain't perfect


But it is a handknit scarf, by me.

For Greg's mother! My second knitted item ever.

    Wow Rebs, good job! It looks like the mistake stitch knit pattern - is it? I guess the other pattern didn't work out... Glad you were able to finish it before christmas!

    I meant to tell you! I kept making mistakes with the Big Lace Scarf, so I decided to go with something simpler. It's 2-2 ribbing; I found it really satisfying. The good thing about it was that if i made a mistake i knew how to fix it!

    I sort of semi-blocked it. I dampened it and laid it out, but didn't pin it; I wasn't sure what to do with the ribs--i didn't want to to stretch them.

    I can't believe this is only your second item! You did a very nice job. For some reason I thought you were an experienced knitter. I just assumed since you also crochet and do other yarn-y stuff. Anyways, good job on the scarf.
